Many of the ancient statues in Europe (ex.: within Vatican City museums) have had their penises lopped off and replaced with a fig leaf. Historically the penises were removed by order of various popes in the middle ages. It was simply seen as improper in their time.

Their time? The occidental hypocrisy never ends. Nude statues were recently covered at Rome Capitoline museum for the visit of Iranian president.

And how about muslim (in majority) Indonesia? Here instead of cutting penises we only cut off ...the heads of statues ::)
